Every day, the port of Rotterdam welcomes seafarers from all corners of the world. The Rotterdam Port Welfare Committee (RPWC) plays an active role in improving the well-being of seafarers in the Port of Rotterdam and strives to make their stay more pleasant. The RPWC has a fund of €140,000 per year, which is built up from financial contributions from the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Deltalinqs, and the De Beer Foundation. With this fund, the RPWC can finance initiatives of welfare organizations and city residents, and actively participate in developments in the port that deserve extra attention. The Rotterdam Port Welfare Committee consists of the initiators Deltalinqs and the Port of Rotterdam Authority, supplemented by De Beer Foundation and VRC, the Association of Rotterdam Cargo Handlers. With the close involvement of Rotterdam seafarers and welfare organizations.
